Can you imagine the emotional toll of knowing—and preparing for—your own death? God the Father knew when Jesus would die, and Jesus willingly submitted to His plan.
Furthermore, the very people Jesus came to forgive would become the perpetrators and instigators of His death. Even at the height of His popularity, Jesus knew that some who cheered Him on would ultimately call for His crucifixion.
